Big Bold Launch Lunch

Is there a Hillaballoo for 2010? Yes and no. No because it’s not called Hillaballoo and it’s not in the parks. Yes, because we’re doing the Big Bold Launch Lunch instead. The Bold Vision is the project to bring the unused spaces of the Telegraph Hill community centre alive, to be a real creative hub for the community. Huge progress has been made on the first phase, everyone pulling together to build a cafe and talent sharing space. For more details see the Bold Vision project site. The cafe will open on July 18th, which also happens to be the same date as the national Big Lunch. So, we’re having a Big Bold Launch Lunch. There will be a craft fair, children’s market, clay mountains, a gurning booth, more games, more creative activities, and of course food. If you want to contribute, ask Maxine Ostwald what you can do. Or just come along and join in. If you want to contribute in general to the Bold Vision, the most immediate needs now are help this week to finish painting and install the kitchen, and also  donations of furniture, kitchen equipment and crockery/cutlery.

Celebrating the Hill

Hillaballoo is an event celebrating the community of Telegraph Hill. It will take place on 18 July 2009 in the Lower Park. Your contributions are invited, especially welcome on the theme of growth (plants, food, wildlife, friendship etc).

Your Hill photos

We've set up a Flickr group called Telegraph Hill Visions so that we can share photos from this and other events. Also, feel free to share any photos taken in the area. To contribute, you can sign up to Flickr, create your own photo gallery using their uploader tools, then join this group. You then go to your Organise page where you can post your Hill photos into the Group gallery. Find the group on http://www.flickr.com/groups/telegraphhillse14/
